A recent gubernatorial debate at Bailey Hall on the Cornell campus in Ithaca NY has provided some unexpectedly ugly facts. An intentional censorship of anything that mentions the un-prosecuted crimes of 911 brought on more than the governor hopefuls had expected in demanding this censorship.
To their eternal credit the editorial staff (Bruce Estes) at the Ithaca Journal (IJ) 607-272-2321 refused to participate as a panelist, as long-originally planned, in last Tuesday's gubernatorial debate between Democratic Party front-runner Eliot Spitzer and Republican John Faso.
The reason Ithaca Journal refused to be present was because of a request for censorship made by the major sponsor of the debate: New York 1 News of Time-Warner and the League of New York Women's Voters. All questions relating to 9/11 were removed from the debate, including the issue of the Congressman Nadler press release (see below).
This type of censorship in New York, the primary location of the 5th anniversary of 9/11, is a NATIONAL SCANDAL.
